My tummy is grumbling

The past couple of days have not been the most superb!! I got into a little car accident, which pretty much terrified me! This bus drove past me, and broke my rear view mirror glass, it was quite terrifying experience. Even though I wasnt hurt..

Also got food poisoning, and my tummy has and still is grumbling and rumbling, also had the worst headache, and spent most of the day on the floor..I am recovering, but still my pain..

But there has been some really great highs as well! actually the highs have been amazing, the other day i received a package from Jacklinda, an awesome island chick who has left her island to be in India for the summer.. The package included a letter and a diary with an elephant on the cover.

Elephants and turtles are my two favorite animals, and its so thoughtful that she got me the perfect gift. I couldnt help it, i had to thank her, so called her to discover that she was again seeing Chevy, this time in Chennai, which is where Chevy traineeship is.. My girls were together! So the next day i called Chevy!! It didnt seem fair knowing how two of the three girls were doing.. So Olgitar i called, and we may meet up in Prague! Which would be fabulous!! But the best part is realizing that even though its the first time to hear their voices since i left, but it was so comforting..



Also received a postcard from Amra, who is now back in Germany!!

ALso my project this year is to help a lost person find himself, progress report, its becoming a team effort from my kung fu boys and Dr Mai!

Just walked out Yacoubian Building, a controversial Egyptian movie, about many taboo topics in this crazy city of Cairo. I read the book last year, and watching the movie, reminded me how the world is a really sad place. Its not always as easy to see the bright side of it! Sweet home Cairo!

Looking at pictures during different stages of my life! One picture in particular was during a school trip to Luxor and Aswan. I can’t for the life of me remember which year, or which grade that trip took place. But all I felt was how I felt at that particular moment, and it was so hot, yet I didn’t feel comfortable in my tank top, so I wrapped my sweater around my arms. It felt so strange to go back in time and relive a moment of insecurity.

Emotions filled up inside of me!

The strangest part of coming home is reflection has made me realize how this experience has changed me. I have suddenly grown to be a woman.

Canada has been amazing year, not because it was a developed country and not because I was on my own. It was amazing cause simply because it was a year of escapism. A year where my world although challenging was just a dream. A big pleasant bubble! Being back has been hard, cause it’s a big dose of reality. All my life experiences have accumulated to what they are now, and all these has shaped who I am and what I want to become!

MC baby, oh Behave!!

So today finally we all met together as a MC team [for those who are not AIESEC, it stands for member committee]. What does the National Committee do, you may ask, well it works with the four universities, helping them throughout their year, through coaching. Also by making them aware of regional and national priorities that they need to be aware of. So next year I will be responsible for projects, I will be trying to develop the already existing national projects, and see if there is a potential to create more projects..

Everything together is overwhelming, but im sure will be an incredible experience! The team seems great, the presiden Sami, what can i say, i always find him very interesting and very charismatic! Dalia, seems to be amazingly in control all the time. Fawzy is a huge ball of energy, and Sameh, Sim SIm! What can I say, i always enjoy his company!

Other than that, Ibrahim is slowly killing me! Adolescent boys! AHHH!!

Going through old things!

So in my bedroom there is a big red chest, that is full of old favorite books, as well as many many memories. Yesterday i was feeling nostalgic and i ended up finding my diary which i had when i was fifteen. It was so funny how much i have grown in just a couple of years. My little brother Ibrahim is fifteen now.

My diary also included my phase when I used to write poetry, and i just wanted to share this poem which i quite enjoyed re-reading. It's a simple poem, but its makes me feel good reading it. Its called "Can"

Can life exist if death didnt?
Can love exisit without broken hearts?
Can peace be something is war wastn?
Can happiness exist without sorrow?
Can there be belief, without disbelieves?
Can blessing be something, if sinning wasn't?
Can one win if no one loses?
Can one be right, if no one is wrong?
Can you really experience one an not the other?

I have become obessesd with Bob Sinclar, and this songs "World hold on" and "Love Generation". I truely believe in this generation where music is religion, artists can be preachers.
