Well I left London at around 5:30 pm, with expected arrival time being 6:55pm, and for a while i really liked the idea if the flight was actually that short rather than being the 10 hours that it was....
unfortunately just after the last post, i got a horrible cold!! and i spent the rest of my days in London in bed, which was not what i had planned!! No musical, no Dali's universe, no hanging out, and there was no sushi : ( [i think that may have been cause Mai wouldnt have wanted me to do so] heehe..
Well i finally flew out here, meeting a really nice Swedish girl who really helped me on the flight!!
The flight was long, but not that i minded, it just reminded me of going home to Singapore when it finally hit me, i havent been back in two summers!! which is reallly bizarre, i have been that long away from singapore, and in a way as much as i dont like it, i love certain aspects, the family , the food, my grandparents old house, which is a place of loads of childhood memories. Also not seeing my grandmother for such a long time is really weird!! I also miss my brother Khalid who is doing his national service there, and i havent properly hung out with in over a year and a half!! Well singapore is calling me next year to go home!!!
Well i was supposed to pick in the airport by Nermin's sister Salma(an AIESECer from CU) which i have gotten to know a lot this summer, as well as Soad (you can read more about her here

So back to the story, ya on the plane i realized i didnt have a number, and worst come to worst, if i dont find her at the airport i wouldnt know what to do!! Well i ignored that thought, hoping i wouldnt have to deal with it!!Next thing i knew i got out, and i didnt see anyone, and i stood there.. i was appoarch twice by indians, who thought i was their relative, which was funny, i always thought i loooked a bit Indian, now i know that i can pass for one!! Well i then thought if i could go online, i couldnt Nermin's number and call the states and get her sisters number..,
Anyway to make a long story short, alot of runnning around, also not being able to use the pay phone internet, i was about to give up when i saw an egyptian girl walking around, i walked after her, before i saw her holding a sign with yasmine written in english on one side, and on arabic, i ran up too her soo relieved.. The girls name is Ami, short for amira who is a relative, and she came to the airport with her mom and her aunt... it was soo nice being around egyptians, brought an element of home to the feeling!! i liked it...
What was even more hilarious was having arabic music play in the background!! it was even more hilarious!!
Well Salma, and her husband Waleed was soo nice, and their dog spikey is adorable, funny part is they know Karim, mish mish, which is in SFU with me, which im looking forward to see soon!!
Nermin's coming up from Seatle this weekend, and i think im going there next weekend to see her and Nazly inshallah, thats all for now!! Moving into my house tomorrow, and orientation starts, i find it funny not going to my own orientation but going to this one!!
